Outsourced Specifically For Construction Bookkeeping
SERVICES

JOB COSTING
Job costing is an accounting method used to allocate all costs tied to a specific construction project. Job costing includes DIRECT COSTS such as material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and subcontractors costs, while INDIRECT COSTS includes overhead expenses that provide a detailed breakdown of all expenses related to a particular construction job. It is important to track these costs so that businesses can analyze profitability and make informed decisions about future projects.

FINANCIAL REPORTING
Your construction financial reports include the Balance Sheet, Income Statement (profit & Loss) and Statement of Cash Flows. They are crucial for understanding the financial health of a construction company and for making important decisions. Accurate financial reports answer the question: Is my construction business succeeding, or is it failing?

PAYROLL TAX LIABILITES
As a Certified Payroll Specialist, we understand the importance of on-time payroll taxes and their consequences. We will manage your construction company's payroll calculations and deductions and prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax liability reports insuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

OUTSOURCED BOOKKEEPING
We are an outsourced business, which means we can provide your construction bookkeeping from virtually any location that has an internet connection. I work in QuickBooks Online (see certifications in the "ABOUT" section) which is a great choice for construction bookkeeping. QuickBooks Online integrates with many construction project management applications, such as Buildertrend and CoConstruct allowing a seamless flow of data between the systems.
ABOUT US

I'm Diane, Owner of Explorer Bookkeeping For Construction
When a construction client reached out to me in 2015 requesting bookkeeping services I was skeptical. Why?
Well, bookkeeping is not a one size fits all. Every business has it’s own Chart of Accounts that is specific to that particular industry. Construction bookkeeping is very different and very detailed, and at times very challenging, but I love detail, and I love a challenge, so I said YES!! I studied everything I could find relating to construction bookkeeping, and even took extra courses that focused only on construction bookkeeping. I wanted to learn this industry because I knew this would eventually become my niche.
Explorer Bookkeeping completely understands the ins and outs of construction bookkeeping. Whether it be job costing, subcontractors, labor and materials, purchasing, payroll or construction draws, we’ve got you covered!
Construction business owners simply do not have the time nor the desire to handle the complicated and numerous transactions of construction bookkeeping. Explorer Bookkeeping will carry that load for you.
